EXHIBITION #13: CYBERNETIC CHOREOGRAPHIES
http://spektrumberlin.de/events/detail/exhibition-13-cybernetic-choreographies.html

/// DAILY PROGRAM

• Friday 24 Nov (dayticket 5-10euro up to your offer)
18:30 | Exhibition opens
21:00 | Performance by Andreas Dzialocha

The exhibition #13: Cybernetic Choreographies questions artistic modalities of human to machine and machine to machine interaction. The boundaries of decision making are pushed beyond human centralized perspectives toward larger and extended territories where Algorithmic and Cybernetic conditions are generating new creative layers, in a choreographic sense, of images, mechanical movements, artificial realities, intelligent machines, body immersion and so on.

The redefinition of the role of machines in our world lies in the relation of efficiency in terms of our user-understanding. Smart and Intelligent techniques can prepare us to step further in our evolution by bringing our human level (made of intuitions, emotions, values and metaphors) into what is currently considered a black box. This paradox is investigated in the exhibition by challenging the visitor to navigate in these alien languages of machines while rediscovering an inner fundamental level of choreographic enjoyment.

Basic Electricity #24

a concert with Thomas Ankersmit and Konstantinos at the König Otto in Berlin, Neukölln.

Thomas Ankersmit explores the boundaries of sound with his Serge modular synthesizer. He has shaken the walls and cast his inner-ear illusions in venues like Berlin’s Berghain and the Tate Modern in London.

Konstantine Fioretos contests the notion of what constitutes a modular performance, exploring jazz and contemporary orchestral music forms by probing at the hidden opportunities inside obsolete MIDI sound devices.

Eco´s echoes - Sounds and environment
No Plug Sound Machine and The Awful Plastics

The last Outbound of 2017 presents two ways of approaching environmental issues through sounds.

Doors 20:00 | Start 20:30 | Donation 6 ≤ 9€

PMWGR 1.0 No Plug Sound Machine is a project by Samira “Night by Night” Allaouat questioning how to make make music without conventional electricity. It explores the idea of a future where resources that we hold as fundamental to life will no longer exist.
Consider a hypothetical crisis situation: imagine yourself restarting from point “zero”, keeping in mind all the advanced technologies we’ve created up until that point, and then recreate those comforts, but without the power supplies we commonly take for granted.
Within PMWGR 1.0, mechanics, electronics, nature and human collaboration coexist and support each other in the the same time and place. The light theremins and the LEDs are powered using electricity from earth batteries made from potted plants, and the mechanical core is a gramophone activated with man power.

The environmental project The Awful Plastics plays plastics inside faux trash islands. Plastic lasts for 450-1,000 years, they are not disposable, they are awful.
The Awful Plastics create constantly changing sonic narratives, performative movements and visual landscapes. They are delighted to have discovered that the possibilities for plastic improvisational composition are endless.
Together collectively, they have been experimenting with sound for over 70 years. They were born in Korea, Canada and Germany. They are all assigned female at birth but some of them are genderqueer and some are cisgender. They are transfeminist multidisciplinary artists who are obsessed with ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response).
 For this Outbound event, The Awful Plastics will be Jean P’ark, Hannah Levin, Han Van Acoleyen and Molly MacLellan.

This event is supported by Initiative neue musik berlin e.V.

The Canvas
The expanded being project

After Damp Sheets, choreographer Jenni Ocampo M. presents the second part of The expanded being project in the space of Urbanraum. In this occasion, choreographers and dancers Jenni Ocampo and Jenny Haack and musician Eric Wong come together, and focus on their encounter with time and silence, exchanging and extending their perceptions into sound and movement.

The Canvas is an empty space to be filled out, a naught and silence where everything can be created from. The artists manifest their presence and absence with their bodies on it. Existence and death of every emotion trace on an infinite space memories of what they are, of what they decided to be and how they are transformed in the future.

Site Specific Installation & Exhibition by Soramame (Sam Andreae & Mio Ebisu)

"Come back home, sit on the sofa, remember what you did today, listen to your favourite music, put on the TV, check your emails, look out of the window, open the fridge, fall asleep, dream a little, listen to the night, feel hungry, eat a snack....

We´re imagining it a bit like a theater set, with different scenes and stuff...there will be a kind of accompanying website which is also part of the installation. Fun!"

EXHIBITION #13: CYBERNETIC CHOREOGRAPHIES
http://spektrumberlin.de/events/detail/exhibition-13-cybernetic-choreographies.html

/// DAILY PROGRAM

• Sunday 26 Nov (dayticket 5-10euro up to your offer)
18:00 | Exhibition opens
20:30 | Closing Panel (free entrance)

Ruins Rider

Julian Scordato
Constellations begins from the exploration of an imaginary celestial space, which is translated into sound space. How does each celestial sphere – starting from its manifestation as a unit – interact with the cosmos where it belongs? How does it react to its law? How does it transform itself integrating with the system, until the loss of identity? In contrast with that process, the constellations act underlining the bodies in their uniqueness by means of creation of symbolic links.0
Vision II blends elements – including two graphic scores by Robert Moran and the soundscape of the city of Venice – which came together accidentally, as objects of a dream and a vision. Not the world-vision, but the counterpoint between appearance and anatomy of the image in its acoustic quality. The visual part determines the sound design aspects: it generates and controls the sound, integrating the particularity of the instant and the contingent.
Engi is an audiovisual work based on the sonification of stellar data related to the north polar constellations. Sound parameters are represented graphically and defined by certain observation data as well as physical characteristics of stars. Six temporal dimensions are added in order to activate the stars with a combinatorial system that virtually produces a perpetual change.
Pier Luc
Ruins Rider: Filmed in the lost territories of the Balkans, RUINS RIDER portrays the secret ruins that triggered trances over the past centuries. Using an array of hypnotic pulsating flickers, filmmaker Pierre-Luc Vaillancourt conceived an explosive kinetic experience. Accompanied by a powerful soundtrack by Marc Hurtado of the cult project Étant Donnés, RUINS RIDER is a visceral experience of hypnagogic archeology and raw energy.

THE END.

Sowieso has to stop !

Very unfortunately this will be the last evening of Sowieso to excist.

The financial situation is extremely desperate;
GEMA sends me bills of 800 Euros a month. I have the feeling they do not like that uncommercial music gets popular!
Also INNITATIVE MUSIK wants me to pay back more than 10.000 Euro of the price-money Sowieso got some years ago of having the best musicprogram.This has to do with paying rental defficits, that occured during the year that the U-8 was not functioning between Hermannplatz and Hermannstraße.!

I guess you can imagine that this shitty situation produces a lot of stress, wich has a very bad influence on my personal health.

Thats why , with tears in my heart, I have to give up. FUCK......
